The Dragons Who Rained 布雨之龙? My fellow students, let’s not wander. Let’s not hesitate.Only lament and vexation does not mean consideration and exploration. Onlylament and vexation does not mean advancing and does not mean mature at all.Let’s not kill our lifetime by playing cards. Let’s not waste our youth bydrinking. Let’s not destroy our will without any achievement. Let’s make greatcontribution to human! Every one will have to die and every body will berotten. But every one may make achievements and contributions. The Dragons Who Rained 布雨之龙 Long, long ago, rainstopped falling in China. The people prayed for rain to the Jade Emperor, forit was he who looked after everything in heaven, on the land and in the sea,but no matter how much they prayed, rain did not fall. Four dragons lived in theEast China Sea in those days. They saw people tearing grass from the cakedground, for the people had nothing else left to eat. “We must do something,”Long Dragon said, and Yellow Dragon nodded. “We must help them ourselves,” saidPearl Dragon, “for the Jade Emperor will never answer their prayers.” They suddenly thought of away to help. They started swimming this way and that, scoop ing ( 汲取 , 舀取 ) , up water with their bodies. Then allfour leapt into the sky. Black Dragon flew to the north, Long Dragon flew tothe west, Pearl Dragon flew to the southernmost tip of China, and Yellow Dragonflew to the very center of the vast country. All at once, they let the waterfall from their mouths, arms, legs, and even their tails. When the Jade Emperor sawthe rain, he was furious. “Who dares to tamper( 干预 , 玩弄 , 贿赂 ) with my world?” heshouted, and then saw the four dragons swooping around in the sky. “You willnot escape!” he thundered, and summoning Mountain God, he ordered him to killthe dragons. Mountain God sent fourmountains tumbling( 翻倒 , 滚动 ) after the dragons. Then an odd thing happened.Suddenly four rivers formed, springing out from beneath the mountains andspreading across the whole country. This, people say, is howthe four great rivers of China were created: the Yangtze, the Yellow, the Pearland the Heilongjiang are all that remains of the four dragons who once savedthe people of China. 查看更多0个回答 . 5人已关注
