大家看看这三个研究方向的联系!!!这是一个老师的三个研究方向?Nanostructured membranes for mixture separation Ultrathin, molecular-sieving separation membranes that can operate at high temperature have the great potential to realize high flux, high selectivity mixture separation in many important industrial processes. We are interested in rationally designing novel membrane structures based on membrane material properties, characterizing membranes, and applying them for gas mixture separation. Currently, we are working on graphene-based membranes and zeolite composite membranes. Photocatalytic CO2 conversion by sunlightCarbon dioxide, as the by-product of many industry processes, has been identified as the main reason for the global warming. Geologic sequestration has been proposed for storing separated CO2. However, another more preferable way is to convert it into fuel using abundant energy source, such as solar energy. The major obstacle preventing efficient photocatalytic conversion of CO2 to fuel is the lack of catalysts that can readily couple solar energy with inexpensive reducing agents, such as water, to achieve rapid and selective cleavage of C-O in CO2 and the formation of C-H bonds in the products. Our research is focused on synthesis and characterization of novel photocatalysts that can absorb visible light & understanding fundamental reaction mechanisms of photocatalytic CO2 conversion process. Methane and hydrogen storage for vehicle applicationsHigh capacity gas storage at low tank pressure is critical for their applications in vehicles.
