美研制出新型半固态液流电池? 美研制出新型半固态液流电池发布时间: 2011-08-23??|? ?作者:刘霞http://www.stdaily.com 2011年08月23日 来源: 科技日报 作者: 刘霞? ? 本报讯??据英国《新科学家》杂志网站近日报道,美国麻省理工学院的科学家研制出了一种新型半固态液流电池,其成本仅为现有电动汽车所用电池的三分之一,但却能让电动汽车一次充电的行驶里程加倍。? ? 现在,电动汽车的发展受制于电池笨重、昂贵且浪费空间。例如,日产公司聆风(Leaf)电动汽车电池三分之二的体积内充斥着提供结构支持但不产生电力的材料,非常耗电。另外,传统的电池组包含几百个电池,每个电池都包含众多固体电极。这些电极上有金属箔集电器,采用 塑料薄膜 分隔。要增加储能,就要增加电极材料,因此,就需要更多金属箔和塑料薄膜,使得电池非常笨重。? ? 麻省理工学院材料科学和工程学教授蒋业明(音译)领导的团队研制出了一款名为“剑桥原油”的半固态液流电池,其不仅减少了电池内的“无效材料”,而且提高了电池的能效。? ? 在普通电池内,离子通过液体或粉末 电解液 在两个固体电极之间来回穿梭,迫使电子在连接电极的外部电线上流动来产生电流。而在新电池内,电极为细小的锂化合物粒子与液体电解液混合形成的泥浆,电池使用两束泥浆流,一束带正电,一束带负电。两束泥浆都通过铝集电器和铜集电器,两个集电器之间有一个能透水的膜。当两束泥浆通过膜时,会交换锂离子,导致电流在外部流动。为了重新给电池充电,只需要施加电压让离子后退穿过膜即可。? ? 蒋业明表示,他们研制出的锂“半固体”流体电池每单位体积传递的电力是传统电池的10倍。新电池每制造出1千瓦时电力的成本为250美元,为现有电池成本的三分之一。而且,充电一次,电动汽车可行驶300公里,是现有电池的2倍。? ? 科学家们表示,这种电池有三种充电方式可供选择:抽出失效的泥浆并注入新鲜的泥浆;前往充电站,在此处用新鲜泥浆取代失效的泥浆;用电流给泥浆重新充电。采用前两种方法,只需几分钟就能给电池充满电。? ? 美国德雷克塞尔大学德雷克塞尔纳米研究所所长尤里·伽戈崔指出,这可能是过去几十年电池领域最令人兴奋的研发。? ? 纽约城市大学能源研究所的丹·施丹戈特表示:“这件技术令人兴奋。但即使该研究团队5年内研制出电池模型,建立配套的充电站可能需要更长时间。”? ? 去年,蒋业明和其同事克雷格·卡特以及斯鲁普·万尔德创办了一家公司专门研制这种电池,现在,他们已经获得了1600万美元的资助,他们希望于2013年研制出电池模型。? ?
